About Me

family portraitI’ve been a reporter with WXIA-TV, the NBC affiliate in Atlanta,  since 1999. No, I don’t want to be anchor.

I’m a mom and a step mom. My kids’ names all have four letters. It was an honest accident. No one believes me. Screen Shot 2013-05-06 at 9.40.45 PM

I’m from Maryland. I love the Chesapeake Bay and steamed crabs eaten with wooden mallets on newspaper covered tables. crabsMy mother likes to talk about other daughters who at least try to live closer to their families.Screen Shot 2013-05-06 at 8.19.07 PM

My husband is a brilliant photographer. We fell in love on the job. We’re a cliche. But we’re silly happy. He left TV three years ago. I’m still bitter. He’s not.

If it will make you more likely to peruse this website, I’ll tell you I’ve won a national Edward R. Murrow Award for writing, 10 regional Murrows, and 25 regional Emmys, including Best Reporter for the past four years and Best News Writer. Impressed yet? Me either.
